REVIEW: Raptor MTP Gloves -
Bang for buck10
Army Surplus and Toys wanted to show us something and we are glad they did. We have always been fans of affordable gear and bargains – this is one of those.
The MTP Raptors are made with extremely lightweight materials with each glove weighing little over 20 grams each. They feature padding on the back of the glove which should limit the sting of any hits and also provides that added protection should you choose to backhand slap someone like a Sir.
Breathability is always a top concern however these gloves are quite thin in comparison to some which helps with the transfer of heat. I used them in the cold of January and they worked great – the air holes on the fingers were more than enough to regulate the temperature.
While the back of the glove is made of cotton the front and palm consists of a single sheet of suede which not only makes them comfy but will allow for extra flexibility when worn in and better moulded to your hands. As mentioned before, these are lightweight gloves so they won’t protect you to the extent that others do with rubber exteriors or carbon knuckle protectors but on the flipside you maintain more dexterity. All in all, a great, lightweight, low profile pair of gloves, that won’t let you down. Given they are in MTP/Multicam they will pretty much fit any modern loadout perfectly and won’t cost you a small fortune because these badboys cost a grand total of £10.00 – a tenner, absolute bargain.
For those of you who made it this far, we will be giving a pair away soon so keep your eyes on our Facebook page!
